The fund - International association of the top managers of aviation enterprises (IATMAE) was founded in 1991 for the purpose of protecting legal rights and interests of chief executives of aviation enterprises, and also for coordination of their activity in conditions of market economy. Till March of 1998 it has been functioning as the Inter-regional association of the top managers of aviation enterprises (IAMAE). At the General Meeting that was held on March 3, 1998, it was decided to give it an international status.

The association was set up by the aviation industry chief executives/top managers on a voluntary basis; it acts according to the principles of equal rights, legitimacy, self-government and publicity.

Members of the association are the chief executives/top managers of aviation enterprises (aviation companies, airports, air traffic control enterprises, plants for aircraft/helicopter repair, ticket offices, aviation scientific research organizations, aviation educational institutions, civil aviation infrastructure enterprises, associations) of the Russian Federation and foreign countries which perform their activity in the field of civil aviation, irrespective of their organizational legal form and forms of ownership.

The number of IAMAE members is about 200 people.

Admission into Association is exercised by the Council of the Association on the grounds of an admission application/written request and an application form. The association members pay an admission fee and annual membership fees. The rate of the fee is determined by the General Meeting of the Association members. Besides, the Association has the right to get sponsorship fees and voluntary donations from Russian and foreign juridical persons and individuals in any currency.

A chief executive/top manager who joins the Association gets the possibility to substantially broaden his business contacts with Russian and foreign colleagues, as well as with the representatives of the aviation authority. Besides, he gets the right to enjoy the information service of the Association and the benefits of the IAMAE members (flying with domestic airlines within Russia, and some other).
